Even after half a century, Bruce Lee is still a household name. The martial artist left the world before the release of the epic, Enter the Dragon, but captured the hearts of a generation with his unique combination of speed, strength, grace and charisma.
Bruce Lee used martial arts movies as a carrier of cultural exchange, planted the seeds of martial arts in the hearts of a generation, and made the concept of "Kung Fu" spread on a large scale around the world for the first time. His film style and skills have also had a profound impact on many filmmakers and fans, and he is even considered the originator of action films.
In addition, the system that Lee founded, Jeet Kune Do (The Way of the Intercepting Fist), is a set of principles designed to work specifically for an individual. It emphasizes the martial arts philosophy of practicality, flexibility and efficiency, which has had a profound impact on the current mixed martial arts.
To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the release of the classic movie Enter the Dragon, as well as our loss of the martial arts superstar Bruce Lee, his daughter Shanon launched an animation series co-produced by Bruce Lee Entertainment, content platform Shibuya and its co-founder, artist Emily Yang, the "House of Lee".

"House of Lee" is a fantasy action series that continues the action style of Bruce Lee's movies. It tells the story of Bruce Lee who gather a group of dragon warriors to save the world from the forces of darkness. According to Deadline, which announced the project, the film was inspired by Bruce Lee's famous quote: "Those who are unaware they are walking in darkness will never seek the light."
Shanon said of the project: "Anime is an amazing medium that can tell a truly creative story and make Bruce Lee Bruce Lee. I am very grateful for the medium's action, fantasy, history, culture and creativity. Very excited about the possibilities.” Shanon chose to co-produce The Lee Family with Shibuya based on the company’s previous animated short White Rabbit. She explained: "Love the perspective of Emily Yang and Shibuya, they are such creative, hardworking, skilled artists with an amazing brand, I just knew they would be the perfect collaborators. It all came together organically together, it speaks volumes about the potential of our partnership, and it has been a pleasure!"
Emily Yang herself described what drew her to the project, saying, “I found myself immediately resonating with this story as it touches on spiritual themes, the struggle with inner demons and many aspects of the AAPI experience. It is a Very personal story, Xiang Ning wanted to really retain creative control and ownership, and at Shibuya, our mission is to help creators do that, so I knew it was something we had to be a part of."
